The devotees of Baba Huzoor sought his blessings and prayed for the well-being of themselves and their families. Baba Huzoor then proceeded to Gandhi Chowk, where a large number of devotees gathered to catch a glimpse of him. He then went to the local Karbala Ghats, where he distributed blessings to the devotees who had gathered there.
In his sermon, Baba Huzoor warned those who spread hatred and emphasized the importance of becoming a good human being first and foremost. A large number of devotees accompanied him throughout his journey. During his procession, people stood on rooftops and roads to catch a glimpse of him. The district administration and police had made adequate arrangements for security and crowd control.
The festival of Moharram is a symbol of communal harmony. In the district, all festivals are celebrated with brotherhood and harmony. During Moharram, Muslims and Hindus come together to celebrate the festival. Devotees from other districts also come to Umaria to participate in the celebrations and join Baba Huzoor’s procession.
The Immersion of Taziyas at Karbala Ghats On the occasion of Moharram, Taziyas were installed at various prominent locations in the district. The Taziyas were taken out in a procession along with Baba Huzoor’s cavalcade. The Taziyas were immersed in the local Karbala Ghats. On the last day of Moharram, the Sher (lion) procession was taken out from the local Imambara. The devotees then danced in the streets and the Sher procession concluded before Baba Huzoor’s cavalcade departed. After Moharram, the festival of Tijma will be celebrated on Friday, and a fair will be organized at the local Karbala Ghats. Baba Huzoor will arrive at the Karbala Ghats with music and drums, and after the program, he will return to the Imambara.
