<p>In a village in the Karachna area, a wedding took place with much fanfare on February 24th. The wedding party returned home after the bride&#8217;s departure in the morning. On the following day, February 25th, the bride suddenly experienced severe stomach pain.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Newlywed Nine Months Pregnant</h2>



<p>Due to the stomach ache, the bride&#8217;s in-laws rushed her to the CHC Karachna late at night. After examination, the doctors discovered that the newlywed was nine months pregnant and about to deliver. Upon learning this, the groom immediately contacted his in-laws and summoned them. On February 26th, the newlywed and her newborn baby were sent back to her parents&#8217; home.</p>

<p>Following the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Pakistan has been engaging in firing across the Line of Control (LoC). Incidents of firing from the Pakistani side have been reported over the past two days. The Indian Army has responded strongly to this firing from Pakistani military posts. The army reported that on the night of 25-26 April, firing was carried out from various Pakistani army posts across the LoC in Kashmir. This firing, using small arms, was unprovoked. Indian soldiers responded appropriately with small arms fire. According to the army, there are no reports of casualties in this firing. Earlier, on Friday, there was also firing across the LoC. This firing was also initiated by Pakistan. The Indian Army responded effectively to this firing.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Major Action Against Infiltrators, Over 500 Detained</h2>



<p>Gujarat Police, in a large-scale operation against infiltrators, has detained over 557 people in Ahmedabad and Surat. The Ahmedabad Crime Branch apprehended 457 infiltrators in the Chandola area, while Surat police detained over 100 Bangladeshi citizens in various areas. Interrogation is underway, and they will be deported after the investigation is complete. Joint Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad Crime Branch, Sharad Singhal, said that this operation was carried out on the instructions of the Minister of State for Home, DGP, and Police Commissioner. 70 out of 127 Bangladeshi citizens apprehended in earlier investigations have already been deported.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">UN Security Council Condemns Attack, Emphasises Accountability</h2>



<p>The United Nations Security Council strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Beasaran Valley of Pahalgam. Council members called for holding accountable the organisers, perpetrators, and financiers who promote terrorist activities. In this attack, which occurred on April 22nd, 26 people were shot dead.</p>



<p>In a press statement issued on Friday, the 15-member Security Council reiterated that terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, constitutes a threat to international peace and security. Member states expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families, the Government of India, and the Government of Nepal. They wished for a speedy recovery for the injured.</p>

<p><strong>Weather Update:</strong> A severe heatwave is sweeping across most of India, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in several states. However, relief is on the way. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a significant weather change is expected across the country. The IMD predicts a new spell of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and strong/gusty winds across eastern parts of India from 26 to 29 April, 2025. Twenty-four states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, are expected to experience rain with strong winds and lightning.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Alert Issued for 24 States</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, the weather changed in many states from Saturday. Cloud cover brought some relief from the heat. A warning has been issued for 24 states, including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, for thunderstorms and strong winds accompanied by lightning. Heavy rainfall is also expected in the northeastern states. Hailstorms are possible in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. The change in weather will lead to a decrease in temperature in most states. However, despite the rain and storm warnings, heatwaves will continue to affect parts of these states.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of Rain with Strong Winds</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, from 26 to 29 April, there is a likelihood of scattered to widespread light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (40-50 km/h, gusting up to 60 km/h) in eastern India and adjoining parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hailstorm Alert for These States</h2>



<p>According to the IMD, there is a possibility of hailstorms in Chhattisgarh from 26-28 April, in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on the 26th, in Bihar and Jharkhand on the 27th, and in some parts of Odisha on 27 and 28 April.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Possibility of Heavy Rainfall with Strong Winds</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, there is a likelihood of thunderstorms (winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h) in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Jharkhand on 27 April. Thunderstorms are also expected in Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha on 27 and 28 April, and in Bihar and Chhattisgarh from 26-28 April. Heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Sikkim on 26 and 27 April.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Damage</h2>



<p>The meteorological department has warned of potential damage. Strong winds/hailstones could damage orchards, horticulture, and standing crops. Hailstorms in open areas could injure people and livestock. Strong winds could cause partial damage to weak structures. Minor damage to mud houses/walls and huts is possible. Loose and light objects may also be blown away.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">IMD Suggestions</h2>



<p>The IMD advises staying indoors for the next few days, keeping windows and doors closed, and avoiding travel. Seek shelter in a safe place during bad weather; do not take shelter under trees. Avoid lying on concrete floors or sitting against concrete walls. Unplug electrical/electronic equipment. Immediately evacuate water bodies. Stay away from all objects that conduct electricity.</p>


<p>Weather Report: According to the meteorological department, between 26 and 29 April, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h, accompanied by rain in eastern India and adjoining parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh.</p>

<p><strong>UP Board Result Live:</strong> The Uttar Pradesh Board examination results were declared on Friday, 24 April 2025. Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Mahendra Dev, and UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh announced the results. This year, 81.15% of students passed the 12th-grade examination, while 90.11% passed the 10th-grade examination. The pass percentage of prisoners was 5% higher than that of students.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Prisoner Performance</h2>



<p>Considering the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 91 out of 105 prisoners passed the intermediate (12th grade) examination, achieving a pass percentage of 86%. This is 5% higher than the 81.15% pass rate for students. In the 10th-grade examination, 91 out of 94 prisoners who took the exam from jail passed, resulting in a 96% pass percentage. Compared to the last 5 years, there has been a 17% increase in the pass percentage (83% in 2020).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">12th Grade Results</h2>



<p>In the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 81.15% of students passed the 12th grade. A total of 27,05,017 students appeared for the 12th-grade exam this year, including 14,58,983 boys and 12,46,024 girls.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">10th Grade Results</h2>



<p>In the Uttar Pradesh Board examination results, 90.11% of students passed the 10th grade. This year, there were 14,49,736 boys and 12,82,458 girls who appeared for the exam. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 93.87%, while boys achieved 86.66%, a difference of 7.21%.</p>

<p>Panic erupted at Allama Iqbal International Airport (Lahore Airport) in Lahore, Pakistan, on Saturday morning when a military aircraft caught fire during landing. All flights at the airport have been temporarily suspended following the incident. Preliminary reports suggest that a Pakistan Army aircraft experienced a tire fire upon landing at Lahore airport. The fire department was immediately alerted, and several fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, successfully extinguishing the blaze.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Firefighters Bring Blaze Under Control</h2>



<p>According to reports, following the fire, which broke out at approximately 5:45 am, Airport Security Force (ASF) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) firefighters responded swiftly and brought the fire under control. However, due to heavy smoke, passengers had to be evacuated from the international terminal, and immigration procedures were temporarily halted.</p>

Hyderabad, meanwhile, secured their third win of the season and their first-ever victory against CSK at the latter&#8217;s home ground.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">SRH&#8217;s Poor Start</h2>



<p>Chasing a 155-run target set by CSK, Hyderabad received an early blow when Abhishek Sharma was dismissed without scoring. Travis Head showed some promise but fell for 19 runs. <p><strong>NCET Admit Card 2025:</strong> The admit card for the NCET 2025 exam, conducted for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), has been released. <p><strong>UP Weather Update:</strong> According to the meteorological department, Uttar Pradesh&#8217;s weather will change from 26 April, with rain and thunderstorms likely in several districts until 29 April. The meteorological department has issued warnings for the affected areas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weather to Change from 26 April</h2>



<p>In Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, cloudy skies are expected on 27 April, with a high probability of rain between 28 and 30 April. Light rain is possible in Azamgarh on 27 April, with strong winds and rain anticipated on 28 April. Ayodhya will experience cloudy skies on 26 April, with a likelihood of rainfall on 27 and 28 April. Ballia and Deoria are also under an alert for rain and strong winds on 27 and 28 April.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rain Possible in Eastern Uttar Pradesh</h2>



<p>Light to moderate rainfall, strong winds (40-60 km per hour), and thunderstorms are predicted for eastern Uttar Pradesh between 26 and 29 April. While this change in weather is expected to bring relief from the heat, caution is advised due to the adverse weather conditions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Current Temperature Status in UP</h2>



<p>According to the meteorological department, the weather remained dry in both meteorological divisions of Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours. On Tuesday, there was no significant change in daytime temperatures across all divisions of the state. Daytime temperatures remained significantly higher than normal (+3.1°C to +5.0°C) in Varanasi (Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur), Ayodhya (Ambedkar Nagar, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Amethi), and Agra (Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Mathura) divisions, and higher than normal (+1.6°C to +3.0°C) in all divisions except Kanpur (Etawah, Itawa, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat). Daytime temperatures in the Kanpur division remained normal (-1.5°C to +1.5°C). The highest maximum temperature in the state on Tuesday was recorded at 43.3°C in Varanasi (BHU).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Heavy Rainfall Warning for Northeast India</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, the meteorological department has also stated that heatwave conditions will persist in Northwest India until 29 April and in East and Central India until 26 April. Furthermore, a warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Northeast India until 27 April. A new spell of rain, along with strong winds and lightning, may begin in East India between 26 and 28 April.</p>

Ladli Behna Yojana Madhya Pradesh: 10,963 women dropped out from the scheme in Madhya Pradesh


<p><strong>Ladli Behna Yojana:</strong> A woman received ₹1250 monthly under the government&#8217;s Ladli Behna scheme until she turned 60. After crossing that age, her monthly old-age pension is ₹600. This is the story of women excluded from the Ladli Behna Yojana due to government regulations.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reasons for Exclusion</h2>



<p>In the state government&#8217;s flagship Ladli Behna Yojana, 10,963 women in Chhindwara district were removed from the scheme in 2025 after turning 60. They were excluded from the ₹1250 monthly benefit. Only 392,912 women remain in the scheme.</p>



<p>In addition to women over 60 and those who relinquished benefits, the portal also shows 690 ineligible women and 646 deceased women. Furthermore, 399 women were deleted from the Samgra portal, and 505 women had their Aadhaar-Samgra linkage severed. This resulted in a decrease in the number of Ladli Bahnas. Additionally, 890 women voluntarily surrendered their benefits.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reasons for Reduced Number of Women</h2>

Business owners believe that the consistent receipt of Ladli Behna funds for the past year and a half has increased the purchasing power of poor women. <p>Before the Model Code of Conduct for the Assembly elections on 9 October 2023, the registered number of Ladli Bahnas was reported as 415,000. Of these, 8,000 applications were not approved. Departmental records indicate that only 407,000 applications were received.
