BJP MLA: Expressed Anger in the District Water and Sanitation Committee Meeting
A meeting was held at the Collectorate on Wednesday regarding the Nal-Jal scheme in Magarmuhan. The officers were providing information about the Jal Nigam’s works. They said that payment for works not done in some gram panchayats would be stopped. When the talk turned to Shahpura’s gram panchayat Magarmuhan, the atmosphere became heated. BJP MLA: In the meeting, the progress of the Paily project under Jal Nigam was reviewed. The Managing Director of Jal Nigam said that some parts of the pipeline could not be laid due to non-receipt of permission from the Forest Department, which is causing a delay in the completion of the work.
BJP MLA: The MLA Neeraj Singh termed the officers’ information as misleading. He said that the shortcomings should be removed soon. He also expressed anger over the slow pace of road restoration work in Magarmuhan and the laxity shown in the work. The meeting was chaired by CEO of District Panchayat Jyoti Singh. District Panchayat President Asha Gontiya and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
